Critical Incident Stress Defusing and Debriefing

Workplace violence has increased the need for Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) dramatically. Downsizing, demanding workloads and questions concerning a company’s future are causing stress in today’s workforce.

Additionally incidents such as robbery, assault, suicide, or a workplace accident, can leave employees stunned, disturbed and unable to perform their job effectively. Even non-violent acts, such as the natural death of a employee, spouse or child, can be temporarily debilitating. When these instances occur, employees who participate in work site debriefings recover and return to work more rapidly than those who do not.
